In Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Our shared vision of humanising energy transition was formed to remind us of the importance of energy in the lives of us all, and the role of us all in managing energy transition. As the COVID-19 pandemic reaches most corners of the world, pulling together as a community of deep expertise has never been more important - to share experiences and lessons learned, and better prepare for and shape what comes next. Our role as a credible, responsible and impartial value-adding “global voice” for whole energy system movement has never been more critical.

The World Energy Council is more than just a think tank. We are an energy experience tank, bringing together energy leaders, pioneers, influencers and practitioners to develop strategies for successful energy transition.

Our experiences and events engage, educate, inspire, influence and connect Members and stakeholders on the pressing energy issues of the day.

By curating a range of new, relevant experiences, we give our communities access to the practical knowledge they need to achieve impact as they move towards secure, affordable and inclusive energy transition.

The Council’s experiences and events convene, connect and catalyse over 9,000 energy leaders from 80+ countries – and our reach is growing every year.

We run a number of high profile global events including the:
